Finding Balance

What does balance look like in your life? That answer depends on you. People can find balance in the most different of ways and still reach their goals. At different times in our lives what deem as balance can look a lot different than at other times in our life. Think of the visual of a person balancing themselves in a handstand on one hand. You might be able to accomplish that feat but few people could hold that position for very long. The truth might be that sometimes that is how we try living our lives…in a challenging position that might work for a while but ultimately becomes too stressful and we lose our overall balance. Please forgive me for using that handstand visual again…but we can certainly lose our perspective upside down for too long and with too much stress and tension in one part of our body (one part of our life) that makes everything else too difficult to manage. And, then what happens? Sometimes, we just come tumbling down!
There are times in our lives when we might feel there is a disconnect between how we wish our life could be like and how it actually is. Ultimately, we might feel out of balance and need to readjust. As your health coach I won’t tell you what you need to do. Sound surprising? Think about it, when was the last time that actually worked for you? Having someone tell you what to do can sometimes put you on the defensive and hamper your progress. What I will do is encourage and guide you in figuring out how to get there. Uncovering and peeling back layers that ultimately lead you to find your motivation and achieve your goal. What are those layers? Family/relationships, friends/social, work/career, faith and spirituality, health, finances, hobbies/personal development, fun/recreation. Got balance?
